Who we are

It all begins with family. I believe I inherited the love of sewing from my mother. Once I retired, I had time to do what I wanted and I found crafting and reading once again. Helping neighbors, teaching crafts, and passing knowledge down from my grandmothers through to my grandchildren.

Grandma Alta crocheted the most beautiful lace into doilies and tablecloths, when she wasn’t quilting. I remember her hands always being busy but, she would put whatever she was crafting down for a hug or kiss anytime.

Grandma Marie made beautiful costumes and participated in our small-town parades, often winning best costume. My grandmothers lived just down the road from each other, so I often walked the railroad tracks between their houses. It was a tiny town, just 10 blocks long, with a town square, yep just like Mayberry.

My Aunt Lorrain also taught me how to grow things, cooking, canning, and sewing cloths. Time spent crafting was often time spent listening to stories about my family.

Now, I pass these crafts on to my family, sister, brother, kids, and grandchildren, cousins, great nieces and friends, too many to mention really. They would have me share these things with you too. So, here we are. Family and friends doing what we love and hoping you will love them too.
